**For reservations at Legendary Waters Resort, call: 1-715-779-9450 and mention the Aurora Summit. Please be patient, because phone lines will get busy, and the resort is run by the native tribe. Campground sites are available on the grounds adjacent to the hotel, with beautiful north-facing views!More options with great views overlooking Lake Superior include The Bayfield Inn & similar (4 miles), or the Quality Inn in Ashland (24 miles) or AmericInn in Ashland (29 miles). Many more options are available on the lakeshore.
- Lodging is not included, but all meals are included from Friday dinner to Sunday breakfast! Please note that due to the remote location and catering limitations, we can only accommodate vegetarian options, and not other dietary restrictions.

- Submit a photo to the Aurora Summit Slideshow. Your night sky photograph will be featured on the big screen during the Aurora Summit Banquet on Saturday night. Find out how at the link!
- Shirts will not be sold during the conference. If you’d like to buy apparel, order online so your shirts and gear can be shipped to you in advance of the event. Currently, we do not offer shirt sales on location.
- Connect with other guests by joining the Aurora Summit Facebook Group! You can also RSVP to connect with other guests on the Facebook Event Aurora Summit 25, and the pre-con AS24 Photography Bootcamp, or post using the hashtag #AuroraSummit25.

**The day we launched registration for Aurora Summit 24, rooms at the host hotel sold out! Our venue’s Event Center holds large audiences, and some guests may need to book lodging at nearby hotels. You will find many AirBnb choices are in the area. More lodging options are available in nearby Bayfield, Wisconsin (4 miles), Washburn, Wisconsin (16 miles), and Ashland, Wisconsin (26 miles). A campground is directly adjacent to the host hotel and venue, and water and electric will be left on at our request for off-season campers.

On Location
Located in lake country south of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, the Aurora Summit is surrounded by beautiful state parks and scenery, including lighthouses, rivers, waterfalls, and palisades. With a day pass to the state parks system, guests can take advantage of all the parks during the day.
Activities after hours include everything from Aurora Chasing and DIY Light Painting to Night Sky Photography. On Saturday night, we walk out to the beach located near the hotel to enjoy the night sky and take photographs. If possible, we light a bonfire to keep everyone warm. (Please contact us if you are willing to volunteer to get a bonfire going right after dinner on Saturday!) Pack for cold temps, bring camera gear with safe storage, pack a laptop for photo editing if desired, and plan to be out late, immersed in the wonders of the night sky!
Sunrise or sunset over Lake Superior is a must! Find a good view on the many beaches in the area, and these sunrises and sunsets are sure to amaze you. Whether you’re a photographer or not, don’t miss it!

To book a room at the host venue, please call the reservation desk and mention the Aurora Summit to reserve a room in the conference block. These rooms are not available online. Legendary Waters Resort: 1-800-226-8478. Selection option 2 from the automated menu. We are thrilled to work with a native American tribe this year as our hosts, but they are very busy running the resort, so please be patient.
Open to the Public
The Aurora Summit is open to the public, but it is limited to adults ages 18 and up. If a minor wishes to attend, we request the signature of a parent/guardian on consent forms. Guests must register in advance of the conference.
The conference package typically includes meals and more than 10 sessions on photography and night sky topics, with a keynote speaker and special events. Guests are responsible for their own lodging.
