Thank you for your interest in the Aurora Summit! The annual Aurora Summit offers a new line-up of exciting programming at each event, and we make an effort to bring in new voices every year. We also enjoy bringing leaders from different Aurora communities together, so they can share perspectives from their corner of the world and form new connections across state, regional and national boundaries.
Our Keynote Speaker is selected each year from professionals and experts who are at the top of their game, making an impact in their communities and around the world.
After identifying an inspiring Keynote Speaker, our focus turns to selecting Presenters who are eager to share their expertise, techniques, vision or experience with Aurora Summit guests. We welcome presenters from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, while striving to bring a diverse, interesting and geographically varied roster to the Aurora Summit.
Free admission to the Aurora Summit, most meals provided, and an honorarium are included in the package for the Keynote Speaker and Presenters. We pride ourselves on making the Aurora Summit accessible and affordable. As such, we are only able to cover travel and lodging costs for the Keynote Speaker.

SUBMIT AN ENTRY ANYTIME
You can submit the entry form any time of year, to be considered for the next conference. We add your proposals to our database as they are received, then we review the ideas as a committee in the spring. We usually notify the selected presenters in May.
Become a Presenter
We welcome presenters of varied backgrounds and experience levels! Suggest an idea for a session based on your knowledge and experience, or choose a topic from our poll. Want to know what topics excite our guests the most?
Our audience is interested in topics related to the Aurora Borealis, Aurora Australis, photography and space. These include astronomy, astrophotography, art, history, culture, mythology, space weather and science, to name a few. The possibilities are endless. Describe your interests, and we’ll do our best to showcase your talents!
As a thank you for their time and talents, Presenters receive an honorarium, most meals included, and free registration to the Aurora Summit, providing the Full Admission package. Authors are encouraged to bring their books to sell and sign, free of charge. Our Presenters also receive promotion on our platforms and social media channels, including links to their websites and opportunities to promote their work in our Alumni & Friends group. When we are able to, we’re also glad to share their events and projects throughout the year.
If selected, you will receive a free ticket to the Aurora Summit with Full Admission, included lunches and dinners, and an honorarium for your time and talents, as well as promotion on our platforms.

Vendors
We have also opened the conference to vendors and potential sponsors, dependent upon prior approval from the organizing team. Attending the Aurora Summit as a vendor gives you exposure to a unique group of people who all share one thing in common: a passion for the Northern Lights.

The forms are open for Submissions. You’re welcome to submit ideas any time of year! Please note: If your entry is received after the deadline or after the program is finalized, your proposal will be considered for the following year.
Volunteers
One of the best things about this event is the people who make it special. Many of our guests have such a good time, they return the next year and offer to volunteer.
Would you be able to lend a hand at the registration table? Could you carry a few chairs or a table on stage during the break? Are you eager enough to light a bonfire in the fire ring after dark, so guests who are not at their cameras can gather round to socialize and warm up? Would you like to practice mentorship by assisting novice photographers to secure their tripods or manage their camera settings in the dark?
If so, that’s amazing! When you arrive, just let us know how you can help!
Volunteers → In the past, we have had a sign-up sheet for volunteer tasks and times, but we’ve not used it in several years. It’s all on your initiative and honors system for now, but this community is one that likes to pay it forward.
